FLOOD RELIEF FOR DURBAN
And so our journey to KZN begins.
On 23rd April, Durban suffered tremendous loss, devastation and heartbreak when torrential rain and storms hit, and a large part of the area underwent severe flooding.
Along with many organisations and business that rallied together to assist with anything they could, Bluespec and its subsidiaries, namely First Group, rose to the occasion and decided we needed to do our part.
Much as the Group did for the Alex Fires, the Knysna Fires, the Executive arranged for funds to be made available and off to the shops we went.
R50 000,00 worth of food, toiletries and other much needed items have been purchased (Thank you Makro Woodmead for the enormous help you were to our shoppers, Rene Bernstein and Eunice Zulu, with your advice and attention you gave to our needs.
Vusi Khoza, one of First Help’s dedicated drivers will be transporting the items to Durban this evening where he will meet up with our Durban Ops Manager, Mithren Govender (I-WAY Towing) tomorrow morning. From here, the items will be distributed to the districts in need with the help of local business, councils and leaders.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in this Nobel cause and for all you do for the communities across our great Nation
